Following two sold-out and highly acclaimed shows in Los Angeles, the new incarnation of CASIOPEA returns with its second outstanding album! This release comes with a deluxe photo book-style booklet.
Since making their striking record debut in 1979, CASIOPEA have remained at the forefront of the fusion scene as one of Japan's leading supergroups.
Their sound has always embodied their original debut-era slogan, "Thrill, Speed, Super Technique." Combining Issei Noro's exceptional compositional talent for accessible melodies with effortlessly executed, highly technical performances, CASIOPEA established an entirely new musical style that had never been heard before, producing numerous classics such as "ASAYAKE" and "DOMINO LINE."
The band's history can be divided into several phases: the first period from their formation in 1977 through 1989; the second from 1990 to 2006; and, after a six-year hiatus, the third period beginning in 2012, the band's 35th anniversary, when they resumed activities under the name CASIOPEA 3rd. Despite lineup changes over the years, the band has consistently maintained its high reputation.
From 2022 to 2024, Yoshinori Imai took over the drum position from Akira Jimbo, marking the band's fourth period under the name CASIOPEA-P4.
In May 2025, Jun Abe joined as a new member, and with this change the band entered its fifth period, returning to its original name, CASIOPEA. Their first performances with the new lineup, "NEW MEMBER’s GIG 2025," toured Billboard Live Osaka, Billboard Live Tokyo, and Billboard Live Yokohama, drawing major attention not only from music fans but also from professional musicians.
Their long-awaited first album with the new lineup, "TRUE BLUE," was released on August 27, 2025, and received an enthusiastic response. This was followed by the 2025 "WINTER TOUR," the spring 2026 "Billboard Live TOUR," and a domestic "SUMMER TOUR." On September 12 and 13, 2026, CASIOPEA performed two sold-out shows in Los Angeles, earning widespread acclaim and achieving great success.
In December 2026, following their triumphant return from the United States, CASIOPEA are scheduled to release their second album, "SUNSHINE & MOONLIGHT."
