Selected classic titles from NIPPON COLUMBIA's extensive catalog are being reissued through NIPPONOPHONE.
A hidden gems of psychedelic jazz-rock produced by the TAKT label. Fuzz guitar and Hammond organ collide in a dark and mesmerizing rock mandala.
Although originally conceived as a project to reinterpret classical music through a rock lens, the resulting album is in fact a full-fledged psychedelic rock work driven by searing fuzz guitar and swirling Hammond organ. The musicians were never credited on the original LP, and their identities remain a mystery to this day. However, given that the album was produced by TAKT, a label primarily known for its jazz releases, it is widely believed that prominent figures from Japan's jazz-rock scene participated in the recording. The mystery surrounding the personnel only enhances the album's reputation as one of the great hidden gems of its era. A fascinating intersection of early 1970s Japanese new rock and jazz-rock.
