Description

This record documents the live sessions by Jun Miyake and Ichiko Aoba held in Tokyo in November 2016 and February 2017—a rare and precious recording that captures internationally acclaimed artists resonating with one another and breathing new life into music.

The January performances featured Tatsuhisa Yamamoto on drums, while the February sessions added Hitoshi Watanabe to the lineup, further enriching Miyake’s and Aoba’s compositions with new dimensions and vitality. From a total of four performances over two days, the best takes were carefully selected and mixed by ZAK, who also handled PA on the nights of the shows. The result is a beautifully crafted live document that faithfully recreates the atmosphere of the performances with the warm, organic sound unique to vinyl.
