Description

"Love Letter" Directed by Shunji Iwai Music by REMEDIOS A major hit that brought contemporary visual poet Shunji Iwai into the spotlight in the film world. REMEDIOS (an artist name, apparently meaning "healing medicine" or "healing god"), who have been collaborating with Iwai since his early works, create truly healing music with various expressions using synthesizers, strings, and piano. That said, it's not a quiet, lingering feeling, but rather it clearly conveys the melody. Recommended for those who like beautiful Hollywood-style scores. The piano numbers have a delicate quality reminiscent of Gabriel Yared. (In fact, if this film were to be remade in Hollywood, Yared would be the most suitable person to compose the music.) A popular and classic album in the J-soundtrack world.
