CASIOPEA's albums "Light and Shadows" and "MATERIAL" are set to receive their first-ever vinyl releases on February 3, 2027, as double LP sets pressed on clear color vinyl!
Originally released on CD in 1997, "Light and Shadows" features the band's lineup at the time, Issei Noro (guitar), Yoshihiro Naruse (bass), and Minoru Mukaiya (keyboards), along with the return of Akira Jimbo (drums), who had left the band in 1989, as a supporting musician. Legendary drummer Harvey Mason also performs on selected tracks.
The album includes fan favorites that remain part of CASIOPEA's live repertoire today, such as "GOLDEN WAVES" and "THE TEASE," composed by Harvey Mason.
Released on CD in 1999 to mark the 20th anniversary of CASIOPEA's debut, "MATERIAL" features Akira Jimbo on drums throughout the album, alongside a brilliant horn section featuring Futoshi Kobayashi (trumpet) and Takahiro Kaneko (tenor saxophone).
The album includes live staples such as "FREAK JACK" and "THE NIGHT IN BLUE," as well as "TWINKLE VISIONS," which was used as the ending theme for the NHK General TV program "Sunday Sports."
Both albums have been cut for vinyl by renowned mastering engineer Toru Kotetsu. Enjoy these timeless CASIOPEA classics, brought to life on high-quality clear color vinyl.
