Katsumi Horii, renowned as a composer, arranger, and professor at Tokyo College of Music, has left an indelible mark with his compositions and productions spanning TV, animation, commercials, film scores, and stage productions. Notably, his credits include the beloved "Doraemon" movie series (1999-2005) and music for NHK's drama series. For this inaugural album of his fusion project, he enlisted the talents of top-tier musicians.
Embracing the vibe of the late 1980s, the album pulsates with an infectious urban fusion style, characterized by the lavish use of synthesizers and programmed rhythms. The project's inception was marked by a collaborative vision with the esteemed illustrator Hideto Suzuki. In this reissue, the album has been meticulously crafted, cut from high-spec sound data digitally converted to 96KHz/24bit sourced from the original master tapes. Manufactured as a limited edition at Sony Music's domestic factory in Japan, this release promises to captivate enthusiasts anew. Original release: March 21, 1987.
