Description
A clash between a jazz prodigy and a rock revolutionary. Originally released in 1970, this legendary single—capturing two of the most forward-thinking forces in Japanese music at the dawn of a new era—returns at last.
Marking the debut single of the Flower Travellin' Band, one of the most important groups in the history of Japanese rock, the recording was produced by Yuya Uchida and featured an elite lineup drawn from the finest talent of the Group Sounds scene. Facing them was the Terumasa Hino Quintet, fresh from the massive success of "Hi-Nology" and already leading Japan's jazz movement with future rare-groove classics such as "Snake Hip." The result is a historic collaboration in which youthful energy transcends genre boundaries and captures a pivotal moment in Japanese music history.
