Marking the 30th anniversary of his debut, Shikao Suga's first nine original albums—from his 1997 debut album "Clover" to his ninth album "FUNKASTiC", released in 2010—are set to be released on vinyl for the first time, newly remastered from the latest audio sources.
Renowned for his distinctive sound and deeply expressive lyrics, Shikao Suga made his debut in 1997 with the single "Hit Chart wo Kakenukero". He gained nationwide recognition through "Yozora no Mukou", a song he wrote for SMAP, and has since produced numerous classics, including "Ougon no Tsuki", "Gogo no Parade", and "Progress" under the name kōkua. Now, for the first time, his original albums will be released on vinyl in their original release order.
The first wave features two titles released simultaneously: the 1997 debut album "Clover" and the 1998 sophomore album "FAMILY".
"Clover" includes ten tracks, featuring the album version of his debut song "Hit Chart wo Kakenukero", the second single "Ougon no Tsuki", and the third single "Dokidoki Shichau". Labelmate Kyoko appears as a guest vocalist on "Ijimete Mitai”.
It will be released with jackets faithfully reproducing the artwork of the original CD editions.
The vinyl reissue campaign will continue in 2027 with the first-ever vinyl releases of "Sweet" (1999), "4Flusher" (2000), "SMILE" (2003), "TIME" (2004), "PARADE" (2006), "FUNKAHOLiC" (2008), and "FUNKASTiC" (2010).
