Description
Behind the Alpha One project is music business veteran Nicky Kalliongis - Atlantic Records sound engineer, producer, and songwriter.
Nicky has extensive experience in the music business, most notably assisting as a sound engineer on the 1981 album Never too Much by Luther Vandross, as well as assisting in the recording and production of albums by bands such as Soft Cell, Bee Gees, The Reddings, Tyrone Brunson, etc.
Besides the Alpha One project, Nicky composed and produced music for three more important authentic Boogie funk releases in the mid-80s at the peak of the genre:
Ze-Brass - Feels so good 1983 (Lead vocal Eric McClinton of the group High Fashion)
Alpha One - Changes 1983 (released only in 45t on RADAR Records in very few copies)
Deep - A good thing is so hard to find 1985 (Lead vocal Eric McClinton of the group High Fashion)
It is worth mentioning that all three releases feature musicians from the legendary band Change, which guarantees maximum Boogie funk excitement.
