Hildur Guðnadóttir’s score for the Bone Temple is incredibly dark and experimental. It’s oppressive, haunting, and as heavy as any metal you’ve listened to in the past few years. It’s absolutely crushing (and terrifying). Fittingly, she used bone instruments and giant mammoth horn also mixing in a string quartet and flutes made from bones to conjure up the dark, forbidding tones of pure terror. Pressed on Orange vinyl.
