Description
Released in 1980, this is the first collection of Kyohei Tsutsumi's work to be recorded overseas. An original album recorded in LA that conveys the atmosphere of the West Coast during the heyday of AOR. The musicians who participated include Victor Feldman (perc), a regular in Steely Dan sessions, the late Carlos Vega (drums), known for supporting James Taylor, Vinnie Colaiuta (drums), who was still a budding musician, and the late Tommy Morgan, one of America's leading harmonica players who was also active in movies and TV dramas. Iwasaki's free-flowing singing voice shines vividly against the relaxed West Coast band ensemble. The album includes songs such as "Street Dancer" which is popular among city pop fans around the world, "Kiss Again" which approaches Urbane with an arrangement by Tsugutoshi Goto, and "Rose" a slow number with an AOR feel, also by Goto.
