Limited-edition Japanese vinyl release of the original soundtrack
Features the original Japanese jacket design and obi strip
Audio sources based on the 1983 soundtrack
Description
A limited-edition Japanese vinyl reissue of the original soundtrack to "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi", which sold out instantly when released in 2021, is coming. This reissue features the original Japanese jacket design and obi strip, and will be pressed on color vinyl.
This is the original soundtrack to "Star Wars: Episode VI: Return of the Jedi" (directed by Richard Marquand), released in Japan in July 1983. Music is composed by John Williams. It includes "Lapti Nek", "Parade of the Ewoks", and "Ewok Celebration and Finale", which were used in the film at the time of release but were no longer used from the 1997 Special Edition onward. You can also hear the Emperor’s theme and "Luke and Leia". Based on the 1983 soundtrack, the audio was remastered by Shawn Murphy and Skywalker Sound, using the 192kHz/24bit master released in 2018.
Note: Because the album jacket design uses the original poster art from the time of release, the Japanese title on the jacket differs from the current official Japanese title.
