Recorded on analog tape, it's packed with the kind of 80s City Pop that's impossible to recreate today: 16th note syncopation and accents, snappy snare drum, passive slap bass, 16th note single-note picking guitar, phaser-effected Rhodes piano, soulful alto saxophone solo, and glittering chorus.
