A quirky little record from Italian pianist Lelio Luttazzi – a jazz artist at the core, but really stretching out here for this rare sound library session from 1971! The set’s got Luttazzi painting in many modes of sound – sometimes upbeat and mod, sometimes a bit spare and contemplative – really showing a range of melodic modes that would be perfect for a hip soundtrack of the time! Our favorite cuts are those with a bit of organ or keyboards – as Lelio really seems to make magic with these keys – but even some of the more acoustic moments have some dreamy piano, with a nicely jazzy vibe.
