Considered a founding member of the contemporary art scene in Mexico, his work seeks to revise the possibilities of form and color. His work as a designer came to prominence as Director of the Urban Design Department and as co-designer of the iconic logo for the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City. In the seventies, Terrazas began to experiment with drawing the formal relationships between geometric elements that combined with Mexican art crafts appropriations, have resulted in a unique language, navigating both contemporary art and artisan tradition. Hence, he has adopted the Huichol technique, in which colored wool strands are arranged on wooden boards covered with wax, not only for its aesthetic properties but also for the difficulty demanded by the method itself; it involves a firm concentration in the act that leads to a meditative process. He currently lives and works in Mexico City. His works are part of prominent private and institutional collections around the world.

[[Selling Points]]

Deluxe Vinyl and CD Bundles Available HERE

T-shirt designed by D.Norsen Design incorporating the art of legendary artist Eduardo Terrazas

Heavyweight t-shirt printed on Comfort Colors

[[Catalog Number]]LITA226-4[[Artist]]Various Artists
